Play Quiz Bowl LLC is a company that produces a number of pop culture question sets and acts as a resource for quiz bowl in Minnesota and across the nation. It is best known for its flagship product, ACRONYM, but has also produced a number of other sets. Since the retirement of Robert Hentzel, the company has become the organizer of several academic tournaments in Minnesota using NAQT questions, including RAT-RACE and Run for the Roses.
Its employees are Erik Nelson, the founder, president, and chief editor, and Danny Vopava, the vice president of production. It was founded in 2016, a year after Erik took over the production of ACRONYM, which was previously headed by Matt Quinn and Robbinsdale Armstrong High School.
