Rio Americano HS (also known as "Rio") is a public high school in Sacramento, California. The 2012-2013 school year was the first year that they competed in any form of Quiz Bowl, although they have competed in Science Bowl for many years. With the help of coach Gary Blenner and captain Tyler Reeves, Rio Americano hosted the first three Quiz Bowl tournaments held in Sacramento during the 2012-2013 school year.
