Thomas Jefferson has been the dominant team in Class 1 of MSHSAA competition in recent years, winning the state title in 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008.
In 2009, Thomas Jefferson went 1-2 at the MSHSAA State tournament, losing to Stanberry 205-190 and Tarkio 210-195, making this the first time the school has not advanced to the Class 1 championship game since 1999.
