Cardinal Classic IX

Cardinal Classic IX was a tournament held at Stanford on February 5-6, 1999. It was a packet submission tournament edited by Adam Kemezis. 12 teams competed.

Results

12 teams competed in a full round robin, at the end of which Chicago Louise was 10-1, followed by Berkeley Australopithecus and BYU both at 9-2. By virtue of a higher points-differential than BYU, Berkeley Australopithecus earned the right to play Chicago Louise in a best 2-of-3 final. Chicago Louise (Andrew Yaphe, Ryan, Mike, and Sarah) won the final 2-0 to win the tournament. The leading individual scorers were Andrew Yaphe from Chicago Louise (97.7 PPG), Jesse Molesworth from Stanford (56.3 PPG), Richard Mason from Caltech (50.9 PPG), and Ken Jennings from BYU (49.1 PPG).
