Columbiana, a member of the Mahoning County Quizbowl League, originally joined the competition in the 2006/7 season, and performed well. Unfortunately, the administration decided to cut the program prior to the start of the 2007/8 season. No exact reasons were given as to why this happened. For 2008/9, however, the program was put back into place, and currently the team are having an above average season, with a number of players having returned from the original team.
