Dennis Haskins Open

The Dennis Haskins Open is a high school tournament hosted by UTC, on either HSAPQ or IS sets for both Varsity and Junior Varsity divisions. Charlie Steinhice, who runs the tournament, routinely awards 10 top scorer prizes (along with signed autographs of Dennis Haskins and his crew for the top three). Charlie also points out the best negs of the game in lieu of awarding a neg prize. As usual, Charlie and company recite his three rules of playing quizbowl at the beginning of each tournament. Its 16th edition was held in 2013.
