Vivian Malouf attended UC Berkeley. She received an Honorable Mention for the 2016 and 2017 HSQBRank All-World Teams. She was the second scorer on Berkeley A when they won the Undergraduate title at 2019 ACF Nationals.

After an extended hiatus, she re-enrolled at Berkeley for the 2025-26 school year. Vivian led a team of herself, Anuttam Ramji, Tanay Bodducherla, and Ryan Sun to first place at the 2026 UCT. Berkeley went 2-3 in prelims[1] and needed to defeat Northwestern in a tiebreaker to make top bracket; Vivian was about to return to the hotel to take a nap before being told they had a tiebreaker and were still in contention. Vivian was also the lead scorer on the Berkeley A team (also including Eve Fleisig, Swapnil Garg, and Nathaniel Hull) that won the 2026 ICT and finished undefeated at 2026 ACF Nationals. At the end of the season, Vivian was voted first overall in the collegiate player poll[2], making her the first woman to be voted #1.
