Joy An plays quizbowl for Harvard. In high school, they played for Choate and featured on Connecticut's NASAT team in 2021 and 2022. They were the third individual scorer at the 2023 NSC.
Joy was a panelist at the 2022 David Riley Coaches Conference and Women in Quizbowl Panel at the 2022 NSC, and won the Benjamin Cooper Young Ambassador Award in 2023 for "their work in writing, logistics, mentorship and overall contributions to the Connecticut quizbowl community."
