Victoria ‘Tori’ Eaton, who formerly went by Noelle, is a quiz bowl player from Oklahoma. She previous played for El Reno, Redlands Community College, and Oklahoma State, where she currently attends, but is not playing at the moment to focus on her studies. She is known for occasionally first cluing geography questions and a wide general knowledge pool encompassing most topics, with the lone exceptions being advanced science and psychology.

High School

Victoria played for El Reno from 2020-2022, following her transfer from a non-quiz bowl school. She helped El Reno qualify for the 5A OSSAA State Championship for the first time in five years, where the team finished in seventh place. She also captained El Reno's B team at the 2021 Oklahoma State NAQT Tournament where she placed 13th individually. During her senior year, although El Reno failed to qualify for the OSSAA State Championship, she captained El Reno B and placed fourth, second, and eighth individually at the 3 NAQT tournaments the school competed in that year. She was also given the honor of a 2022 OAAC All-State player. She is currently second all-time in scoring history at El Reno, only behind good friend Riley Ray.

Community College

Victoria was originally going to attend Missouri but backed out when she received a scholarship from Redlands. Tracey Hickman at Murray State College also attempted to recruit her. Playing on Redlands' A team, she helped the team to first place finishes at the 2022 Garden City Invitational and the 2022 Snow Bowl. She also grabbed first-place honors for individual scoring at both tournaments, averaging 54 and 77 PPG respectively. She had a strong start at the 2023 Oklahoma CC Sectional but fell off in the second half of the tournament, helping Redlands to a second-place finish while claiming third in individual scoring, behind Marshall Barnett and Robert Simpson. At the 2023 CCCT, she averaged 67 points per game, finishing in third place for individual scoring while helping her team to 11th place. Following the 2023 CCCT, she announced her intention to graduate from Redlands (as she had done concurrent classes in high school) and transfer to Oklahoma State.

College

After missing ACF Fall at Oklahoma due to illness, she played at the 2023 Murray State College Novice Invitational. She averaged a career high 87 PPG throughout the preliminary rounds, although her high scoring would not last, as she was unable to best her former team and ended up scoring less in the 2nd half of the tournament. Two days after the tournament, she announced that she would be resigning from playing quiz bowl due to increasingly bad impostor syndrome, but later stated that she would just be taking a break to re-evaluate herself and focus on school. She intends to return to OSU quiz bowl in the Fall of 2024.

Volunteer Work

Victoria has volunteered at tournaments both at the state and national levels, including the 2022 Cougar Invitational and the 2023 NAQT Oklahoma State Championship, the 2023 IPNCT, the 2023 SSNCT, the 2023 MSNCT, and the 2024 Pioneer Invitational. She was set to volunteer at the 2023 HSNCT but pulled out for health reasons.

Other Info

Victoria's biggest rival in high school and community college was Marshall Barnett.

Victoria is an education major and plans to coach at the high school level once she graduates.

Victoria feels neutral about the El Reno-Yukon rivalry because of her friendship with so many Yukonites both within and not within quiz bowl.
