St. Paul Academy and Summit School is a private K-12 college prep school. They currently compete in the East Division of the MNHSQB League. Freakonomics author Steven Levitt captained his team here in the 80's and was coached by long time math teacher George Leiter. In 2011 their then current A team defeated a team consisting of Levitt, his father Michael, and sister Linda, also a former quizbowl player, in front of a live audience at the Fitzgerald Theatre in St. Paul. Freakonomics co-author Stephen Dubner moderated the match. Saint Paul Academy also fields a team to middle school tournaments.

SPA A had a perfect record in their regular MNHSQB meets with a 12-0 record. However, this was tarnished when they lost two games and were disqualified at Playoffs.

In 2014, SPA sent its A team to HSNCT, where they placed 204th with a 4-6 record.
