I don't know any details about David Farris's personal life, but he was playing quizbowl for Harvard in 1997-1998, which suggests that he graduated high school (early or otherwise) in spring 1997 rather than "dropping out." Matt Weiner (talk) 08:26, 19 December 2020 (CST)

Is it some kind of in-joke? One of the only things on David Farris is "has been known to show up and leave unannounced in the middle of tournaments", which is pretty similar to "dropping out". We can probably just remove both references. David has been tangentially in touch with the quizbowl world in the last few years (he was living in India circa 2016 and had some interest in doing outreach and writing questions), but I don't think anything ever materialized Jonah (talk) 10:38, 19 December 2020 (CST)
