Jonah-- now that the NAC is permanently gone, I want to do a large-scale update of the NAC and all related pages. Let me know if this would be acceptable to you. Joe Feldman

I would generally try to stay out of this topic due to my obvious conflict of interest, unless a situation became very severe, but since my opinion has been requested directly: I think it's important for quizbowl history to preserve the memory of, and easy access to information about, the NAC, QU, their history, their influence, their issues, etc. It makes sense to also include information about changes and obsolescence. —Jonah (talk) 03:59, 8 August 2026 (UTC)

I definitely get that, and I agree with you. I'm interested in doing somewhat of a rewrite, though, that primarily does 3 things: 1. Updates things that are wildly out of date, or have changed; 2. Makes it much more encyclopedic in tone; and 3. Removes some of the petty BS that has accumulated in the articles over the years ("Chip made a joke about Wilmington Charter 20 years ago"), while keeping in detail all the controversies that are notable. More than happy to consult someone else as well, but, I should note: despite my own obvious conflicts of interest, I have a lot of inside-baseball knowledge from my 6-hour-long marathon conversations with Chip about the history of the NAC and the different controversies, and the inside thinking, that nobody else has or, well, ever will. So I think that it would be worthwhile; but, since you're the admin, I want to clear it with you before I rewrite the whole thing and it gets reverted. So let me know. --Joe
