Geoffrey Thomas is the head coach of Dorman High School Quizbowl, located in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and tournament director of the Dorman Cavalier Academic Challenge, the Dorman Fall Novice Tournament, the Dorman Season Ender, and the Dorman Middle School Open.

Thomas is the fourth head coach in the history of the Dorman program, following Jan Francis, who founded the team in 1982, Jim Garrick, and Eric Huff, and the first who also played for the Cavaliers, having competed under Garrick on the Dorman A team from 1998-2000, serving as team captain in 1999-2000.

Thomas teaches chemistry and AP art history at Dorman in addition to coaching the Cavalier Quizbowl program. He began his tenure with the team in the spring of 2012, apprenticing under Huff until fully assuming head coaching duties in June 2012, at the conclusion of the 2012 PACE NSC.

Thomas is also associated with ACE Quizbowl Camps.
