Vanderbilt University is a private university in Nashville, Tennessee. After a period of quasi-activity in the late 2010s, their quiz bowl team reemerged as a regional contender after the Covid-19 pandemic. In the 2025-2026 season, Vanderbilt A held a winning record against both Auburn and Georgia Tech and placed second (undergraduate) at the 2026 ACF Nationals. Despite its success, Vanderbilt lacks a dedicated science player and is arguably the worst science team in the country.

Tournaments

Vanderbilt Quiz Bowl is a frequent host club. Since 2022, Vanderbilt has annually hosted the MRNA Vaccine tournaments, which are written by Vanderbilt in collaboration with several Canadian universities. In 2025 and 2026 Vanderbilt hosted the Southeast mirror of the NAQT Sectional Championship Tournaments, triumphing in both. Vanderbilt Quiz Bowl also hosts the high-school SPOOKY tournament around Halloween each year.
