Yaphe Method

The Yaphe method is a school of buzzing strategy which advocates filtering possible answers down using contextual clues. For example, a tossup on Amiri Baraka will mention things from the 20th century and characters with American names, so you should rule out older or foreign-language playwrights when trying to deduce the answer.

The Yaphe method is only applicable to good questions; on bad ones, it reduces to lateral thinking.
