Re: Honda Teams, CBCI, and the like

Maybe this has been suggested before but here
goes anyway.

Why doesn't NAQT offer bids in
it's ICT to qualified HBCU if CBI won't? While I was
unable to find the HCASC results from years past on the
CBI website I did see that Florida A&M is a four-time
champ. Certainly they would be qualified to participate.
I'm sure that a full history of the tourney exists
and one could see which schools have performed best
and use those results as something of a measuring
stick in inviting HBCU to the ICT.

With regards
to the question of Honda eligibility, don't the
rules only exclude players in the HCASC from playing in
the *academic year* in which they participated in a
non-CBI licenced event? If that's the case then this
solution is perfect since HCASC takes place two weeks
before the NAQT ICT. At that point who cares if they get
barred since there's only going to be what, three weeks
left in the academic year?

Anyway, just a nutty
thought I had at work. :-)
