2. It is impossible to write a quality tossup on a literary work (or
a philosophical work) without either having read it or at least
skimmed it. You can almost always tell the difference between a
question written from a work and one written from a summary. If the
average QB'er writes say 10 literature tossups a year--how hard is it
to read say 5 novels, 2 plays, and 3 poems in that span?>>

So ... what would be the equivalent in physical science? "It is impossible to write a quality tossup on a concept in physical science without having done a problem set based on that concept"?

This would eliminate most of the lower-quality science questions written by non-science/engineering students.
