REPOST: Truman State Tournament, January 31, 2004

Truman State University in Kirksville, MO will be hosting an
invitational, NAQT-format tournament on January 31, 2004 (that's
about 2.5 weeks away). Questions are house-written and include
powers. Rounds will be timed (exact half-lengths are TBD). Question
difficulty is slightly more difficult than NAQT Sectionals
questions; thus, we hope that the tournament will serve as a
valuable tune-up for attendees of NAQT Sectionals the following
weekend. We have questions ready to go, but the tournament happens
if and only if enough organizations express interest (so far, we
have had 3 schools express interest).

Pricing is as follows:

$80 Base fee for first team
$65 Base fee for each additional team
-$10 for working buzzer system
-$5 for working visible clock
-$5 per 300 miles driven (less from total)
Minimum fee $50 per team

For those teams bringing equipment, you must notify us that you will
be bringing the equipment BEFORE the tournament.

Currently, registration is scheduled to begin at 9:00 am, with the
actual tourney to begin at 10:00 am. The tournament will take place
in Violette Hall on Truman State University's campus, with the
tournament headquarters being the large auditorium in the center of
the building, Violette Hall 1000.
