What: Sun 'N Fun (mirror)

When: Saturday March 20, 2004

This mirror of Sun `N' Fun V is a modified NAQT-style 
(http://www.naqt.com/) NON-PACKET SUBMISSION tournament open to any 
and all teams, but a discount will be given to teams attending the 
mirror that do write a packet.  

If you do write a packet, we ask that your question packets be of a 
difficulty caliber for approximately a first or second-year player 
with some tournament experience. Submit packets to Jeremy Rasmussen 
(jeremycec_at_...).

UIAQC will also be hosting a mirror of USF's Beer Bowl IV TRASH 
Tournament on Sunday, March 21.  If you would like to come to either 
(or both) mirrors, please contact Andrew Juhl (dr_pookman_at_...).

ELIGIBILITY:

The tournament field is open to anyone wishing to play.  Teams 
composed of collegiate Quiz Bowl players, Masters players or hybrid 
teams (from different schools) are all equally accepted.  Again, the 
UIAQC motto applies: "You got a strong back, we can use ya."

FEES: Base team fee is $50. (Minimum fee with all discounts: $25**)

Discounts:

• Second team: -$5/team
• Third team: -$10/team
• Fourth+ teams: -$15/team
• Working buzzer system: -$5*** 

PRIZES

Prizes will be awarded for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placing teams and 
top individual scorers.  In addition, a Hawkeye shot glass will go to 
the "player" with the worst neg.
