Point *differential* was never a tie-breaker. See my
post just prior to this one, where all tie-breakers
used are listed. The first two tie-breakers were
explained at the team meeting.
And also written

There weren't any 600 point
games, though Florida came close, scoring 580 in round
6. Florida also scored 545 in round 3, and 540 in
round 5. Georgia scored 515 in round 5, and had
consecutive rounds (13 and 14) at 495.
