Showing some credentials is a good thing.
However, I speak from experience that trying to create a
new academic organization at any school is almost as
hard as getting an Act of Congress passed. I tried to
have CB recognized at my old school, but one board was
afraid that our presence was going to pull away money
(which they treated as their own and not the students')
from their pet clubs. After that, we were pretty much
a rougue CB team and had to pay for everything out
of my pocket pretty much. Even though I had a hard
time getting recognition, I wish you all the luck at
LSU getting a team. Just remember that you will run
into some people who wont be too keen to the idea.
