It is plausible, however, that a player who may
be good from their first year when D2 eligible, say,
who does not have much support decides to wait a year
or two and see if they can hold out on using their
D2 eligibility. This gives that player the
opportunity to become even better and gain some support
(depending on new talent) so as to have a better shot at
ICT. This does not mean that they'd be throwing D2
matches so as to not qualify it means holding off on
playing in SCT whatsoever.
