Now, I can understand how "Huis clos" becomes "No
Exit"--loosely, the new title makes as much (as little?) sense as
the original. But how in the world does "Abominable
Maple Leaf on the Ice" turn into "Hockey Sweater?"

Although I do wonder about the wisdom of accepting common
titles in foreign languages. In this particular case,
I'd want to know who did the retranslation back to
French before putting down "Le chandail du hockey" as an
acceptable answer.
Otherwise, one could imagine all kinds
of mistranslating fun that would arise from the use
of web translators.
