In reviewing this morning the post I made last
night, I want to make an addendum to correct a false
impression one might get from it: I am by no means saying
that I am the first non-student-union-professional to
be an ACU-I Regional College Bowl Coordinator, just
the first to take advantage of the new situation.
There have been a few non-Union types under the old
rules, and at least two, iirc, in Region 12. But they
were very much the exception.
The new rules
open the positions up to students, and encourage
Regional Leaders to "think outside the box," as the saying
goes, in making selections for the various
coordinators. The big question to me is how these new
opportunities will be advertised when they occur, and I suspect
that, at least initially, this will vary widely from
Region to Region.
