Lincoln-Way East High School is a public high school located in Frankfort, Illinois in the south Chicago suburbs. It competes in Class AA, the "big school" division, of the Illinois High School Association's State Championship series. The Griffins also compete in the Southwestern Suburban Conference.

Lincoln-Way East's program dates back to the school's split with Lincoln-Way Central in 2001. Coach Mark Cohen changed schools and kept the program competitive returning to the State Finals in 2003 behind star player, Nik Brendler.

In recent years Lincoln-Way East has again emerged as a challenger in the south suburbs. The program has usually been competitive, hanging with rivals Bradley-Bourbonnais, Homewood-Flossmoor, & Sandburg. The program's most recent resurgence has been led by Coach Matthew Jordan. Under whose leadership the Griffins have not only enjoyed competitive success, but enthusiastic recruitment and an active social media presence with the program well-represented by upwards of 8 teams at some tournaments. The team won the 2020 SWSC title going into the COVID-19 season, won the statewide IHSSBCA Turnabout in 2021, made their first Masonic State appearance in 2023, and won their second SWSC title in 2024. Coach Jordan was named IHSSBCA Coach of the Year in 2020 for these successes [1].
