Emory University in Atlanta used to be a very active team. They ran the National Invitation Tournament for several years and won the First Annual Terrapin Invitational Tournament in 1987. They also hosted the first All-American Invitational, which was the precursor to ACF. Alumni include Steve Bahnaman.
The club was coached by Leo Busch for "14 seasons" by 1995, when they competed in ACF Nationals. They competed in SCT the following year and were then fairly active from 2001 to 2005.
More recently, an Emory team was refounded in 2012-13 by Anne Reynolds. After competing in a tournament in 2016 they competed again in 2018 and have been competing regularly since 2021-22.
