Derek So is a PhD Student at McGill in the Human Genetics department who played college tournaments for McGill. From around 2014 to 2020, he was the consensus best active player in Canada, leading McGill to wins at most of the Canadian SCT and Canadian ACF Regionals during that time.
In high school, he played Reach for the Top for Sir Winston Churchill in Vancouver, and was on the team that played at the 2008 and 2009 Reach for the Top National tournaments.
