Evan Silberman joined the TJHSST It's Academic team several weeks into freshman year, and the rest is history. He learned the subtle art of tournament directing under the tutelage of Sam Lederer, and awarded neg prizes to such notable figures as Douglas Yetman and Alexandra Petri.

Was a moderator on hsquizbowl.org.

He also was the 2007 recipient of the Benjamin Cooper Young Ambassador Award for his efforts leading the Thomas Jefferson It's Academic Team both administratively and as a team captain. To date, he is the only other person to have won this award as a playing high school student.

Evan has formulated a couple of axioms.
