The Miami Valley School's middle school quiz team was founded in 2014 by MVS alum Tyler Benedict.
In its first year of existence, the MVS middle school team won the Olentangy Hyatts AQUILA MS tournament and also won the high school JV division at Northmont OAC. Miami Valley A won the inaugural Ohio NAQT MS state championship with an 8-1 record and 24.56 PPB, while Miami Valley B tied for third with a record of 5-3.
