The 2022-23 Elgin Academy Season is the 6th season of the school having an active quiz bowl program. Following the successful 2021-22 season, the Elgin Academy quiz bowl team had a rebuilding season in 2022-23.
In the IHSSBCA kickoff tournament, Elgin Academy qualified two teams into the Small School Nationals for the first time in school history. The school's varsity team finished the regular season with a 10-9, receiving 8th seed in its own IHSA sectional.
Despite only losing one game in the tournament, it is the first time in Elgin Academy's program history of not medaling in Masonic Sectionals. The team picked up three wins in the NAQT State and became IHSA Regional runner-up for the second consecutive year. In the 2023 SSNCT, both Elgin A and B picked up two wins.
