Various Knowledge Bowl events are played every year in the state of Arizona. Unlike in Minnesota and Washington, there is currently no overall state tournament at the end of the season. Meets are usually played on Wednesdays and are held mostly in the eastern half of the state. Participating teams are situated further away from major metropolitan areas and generally do not participate in quizbowl. Questions are supplied by Great Auk/Academic Hallmarks, which are known to be of bad quality. Arizona Knowledge Bowl largely resembles other KB formats in that three teams play at the same time and it is tossup only.
