Mater Dei Catholic High School is a private high school in Breese, Illinois. It draws students from all around Clinton, Bond, Madison, Saint Clair, and Fayette counties. Mater Dei plays in the South Central Scholastic League in the fall and the Metro East Quad League in the winter.

From the program's creation until the spring of 2016, Mater Dei competed in Class A, the "small school" division of the Illinois High School Association's (IHSA) State Championship Series. After their 2016 State appearance, the IHSA implemented a multiplier which bumped the Knights to Class 2A.
