To settle whatever pissing contest they had going on that month, Matt Colvin and Mike Obstgarten played a three-round, one-on-one, multi-format "grudge match" in 1995 at Penn Bowl.
Tom Waters, John Edwards, and Joe Wright each wrote packets in the style of ACF, CBI, and trash. Colvin won the ACF round, while Obstgarten swept the remaining rounds. What this all proved may have been clear once.
