Dixon High School is a public high school in Dixon, Illinois. The Dukes compete in Class 2A, the "large school" division of the Illinois High School Association's State Championship series. Dixon competes in the Big Northern Conference as well as on Bergstrom Stateline.
Like nearby Sterling, Dixon has fared modestly over the years with limited postseason success due to the perennial dominance of Auburn (Rockford, IL). Dixon's first successful era was during the early years of the IHSA & Masonic state tournaments, culminating in a 4th place finish at the 1996 Masonic State Tournament against neighboring Princeton (IL). In the 2020's, Dixon has seen a resurgence featuring finalist finishes in local tournaments including on Bergstrom Stateline & the Peoria Area World Affairs Council International Scholastic Bowl. One of the Duke's most notable matches came during their 2025 campaign where the team finished in the IHSA Sweet 16 coming only a few questions away from nearly snapping Auburn's record-breaking Sectional streak.
