Origins

"This is lowk the god squad" - Tianyu Xu, 11/1/25 5:56pm

Tianyu, Pranav, Alex, and Arhith played together on Georgia Tech A at a mirror of HISTONE hosted at Georgia Tech on 11/1/25. They proceeded to go 12-0 and win the tournament, defeating a Vanderbilt team led by Gavin Markoff in the finals. Tianyu then posted a screenshot of the final results in the Georgia Tech Quizbowl Discord server, calling their team the "god squad". Due to their synergy and strong performance, the four players would go on to play SCT and Regionals together, and the name stuck.
