Robert "Bobby" Wang is a quizbowl player at Columbia. Regarded as one of the best history specialists and overall generalists in the United States, he was ranked #19 on the 2026 national player poll.[1]
He captained and was the leading scorer on the Livingston team that won the 2025 HSNCT. His career at Livingston also saw him lead the school to four straight National History Bowl tournaments, one as a JV champion and three as a Varsity champion. He repeated the same feat individually at the National History Bee, earning two JV titles and two Varsity titles. At the US History Bee, he won the JV title in 2023 and repeated the feat at the Varsity level in 2025.
As a freshman in college, he was the lead scorer on the Columbia teams that won the 2026 ICT Division II and finished 5th place at the 2026 ACF Nationals.
Tournament Directing and Writing
As a tournament director, he has directed numerous tournaments in and around the New York metropolitan area.
