The University of California, San Diego is a large, 4-year public institution located just north of San Diego proper in La Jolla, California.

History

A program of some kind existed intermittently, including at least as far back as 1982, but the current incarnation began in the 2008-2009 season and has since become a formidable presence on the West Coast.

National Results

• 15th place overall at the 2009 ACF Nationals

Final Standings, 3rd in DII.

• 8th Overall at 2010 ACF Nationals
• 12th Overall at 2011 ACF Nationals (all-undergrad)

Tournament Hosting

UCSD has been a driving force in hosting more "good quizbowl" tournaments in the San Diego area, particularly for high school students.
