In 2013-2014, the Virginia A team led by Matt Bollinger went 13-1 at ICT and 19-0 at ACF Nationals, becoming the fifth team, after 1999 Chicago, 2002 Michigan, 2005 Michigan, and 2007 Chicago to unify the two overall titles in collegiate quizbowl.

ACF Nationals

The Virginia A team that won ACF Nationals consisted of Matt Bollinger, Evan Adams, Dennis Loo, and Tommy Casalaspi. The team went 19-0 en route to clearing the field, converting 285 tossups, negging 27 times, and averaging a tournament-best 458.2 points per game.

Matt was the top scorer in the tournament with 104.46ppg in the prelims.

NAQT ICT

The Virginia A team that won ICT consisted of Matt Bollinger, Evan Adams, Dennis Loo, and Tommy Casalaspi. The team went 13-1, beating Yale in the finals. The team finished with 81 powers, 126 tens, and negged 27 times. All that added up to 416.8 points per game.

Matt was the top scorer in the tournament with 89.55ppg in the prelims.
