Tommy currently plays for Maggie Walker on their A team, trading scoring titles with Greg Tito at local tournaments. He is known on the East coast circuit for playing well at college tournaments, including competitive finishes playing with Matt Weiner and Evan Adams at Sun N Fun 2009 and with Guy Tabachnick at 2009's Chicago Open Literature Doubles. However, it is his writing that has made his name known to the nation, including ACF Nationals-level tossups submitted for the High School JV tournament, HAVOC, as well as a sizeable contribution to ACF Nationals 2009 in exchange for needed community service hours. Most recently, Tommy has written the largest literature-only subject tournament to date (240 tossups), a side event for Sun N Fun, written exclusively by him and named for Tyrone Slothrop. The near future will see Tommy collaborate with Cameron Orth on a full-length tournament for VCU Open weekend, CaTO/TaCO, and the 2010 season will likely see him play at college events with VCU students due to his dual-enrollment classes.
