In the competition year spanning from August 1st, 2016 to July 31st, 2017:
- Michigan won DI ICT against the dark horse Northwestern A, completing the career Triple crowns of Auroni Gupta and Will Nediger
- Jordan Brownstein led Maryland to a win over Michigan at ACF Nationals
- Hunter A came back from the disadvantaged position to win its second consecutive HSNCT over Detroit Catholic Central A
- Valencia defeated Chipola to take its second CCCT title
