In an unusual turn of events, [[Detroit Catholic Central]] A ended up placing two places below their B team. Both DCC A and DCC B lost 4 games in their superplayoff bracket, but DCC A carried over an additional loss to Thomas Jefferson A, who had been in their playoff bracket - meanwhile, DCC B had gone undefeated in the playoffs. This left DCC B in a three-way tie for 4th which ended with them in 5th and DCC A in a tie for 7th which ended with them in 7th: two places lower.

LASA A defeated Stevenson A in the first game of an advantaged final. Thomas Jefferson A came in third and Hinsdale Central A came in fourth. Southside was the top small school.
