Jeopardy! is an American game show somewhat similar to quizbowl in that questions are asked and answers are given (although the show claims to be cute by reversing this).
Quizbowlers on Jeopardy!
Several former and current quizbowlers have appeared on Jeopardy. Here is a non-exhaustive list:
- Tori Amos - Played in the 2013 Teen Tournament
- Shawn Askew - One day co-champion in 1997.
- Craig Barker - Won 1997 College Tournament.
- Chip Beall - Was on the show in the '80s.
- Michael Bilow - won three games in 2015. Got on the record books for the 4th-highest single-day score ever ($57,198) during his third game.
- Chris Borglum - Played during season 13. Lost in only game.
- Michael Braun - Won Teen Tournament and then mysteriously dropped out of quizbowl.
- Colby Burnett - Won the first ever Teachers Tournament in 2012. Won the 2013 Tournament of Champions. Semifinalist in the Decades Tournament of Champions.
- Papa Chakravarthy - Won 2006 Teen Tournament
- Raynell Cooper - Won the 2011 Teen Tournament
- Roger Craig - Won 7 shows in Fall 2010 and the 2011 Tournament of Champions, set the single day record of $77,000

- Samantha Ross - Much to her surprise, she won a total of $15,000.

- Aaron Schroeder - Five day Champion in 2008. 2009 Tournament of Champions Finalist.
- Ryan Stander - Lost in Final Jeopardy in his only appearance in March 2010.
- Jeff Stewart - Won 1994 College Tournament.
- Ted Stratton - Two day champion in 2005.
- Ray Sun - One day champion.
- Guy Tabachnick - Won $25,000 on Kids' Week.
- Naren Tallapragada - Played on a Teen Tournament, but screwed up in Final J! of one of the semi or perhaps quarterfinals.
- Jason Thweatt - Played one game in 2008; lost after blowing 12,999 of $17,000 on Final Jeopardy!
- Eliza Urban - Played in 2007 Teen Tournament.
- Vik Vaz - Three day champion, Runner-Up in 2006 Tournament of Champions.
- Andy Watkins - Was on a Teen Tournament or something.
- Brian Weikle - Set numerous records, many of which were broken by Ken Jennings.
- Leo Wolpert - Lost to Ken Jennings. Still extraordinarily bitter about the whole thing.
- Jan Zasowski - Two day champion in 2011.
