The Missouri Quizbowl Alliance hosted the 2026 NAQT Missouri Qualifier on February 28, 2026 at Columbia College under the direction of Matt Chadbourne and Audrey Kierstead. Thirty-two teams from twenty-eight schools participated. Fourteen teams were eligible for the small school title, with four of those schools also eligible for the very small school title. Five teams were eligible for the small school open division title. New Heights Christian won the second game of the advantaged final 250-110 over Park Hill to become the first small school open division champion to also win the overall NAQT Missouri Qualifier title. Bayless A claimed the small school title, finishing third overall. Clark County earned the very small school title, finishing fifth overall.

Format
The tournament used the 2026 NAQT Division II SCT question set, with eleven minute halves, NAQT scoring, and non-rebounding bonuses.
The teams were divided into two pools of 6 and four pools of 5 for preliminary rounds 1-5.
The top 2 teams in each pool advanced to the championship tier, remaining eligible to win the tournament. The remaining teams were divided into pools of five for consolation.
In the championship tier, two roughly equal pools were seeded based on points per twenty tossups heard of the top team from each preliminary pool, with the corresponding second place teams advancing to the same pool. This resulted in two parallel pools consisting of the first and second place teams from three of the six pools. Each of these pools played a crossover playoff, with games in rounds 6-9 and one preliminary game carrying over. After round 9, the top 2 teams in each pool based on playoff record, then greatest average points per twenty tossups heard, advanced to a crossover superplayoff for rounds 10-11, followed by any necessary finals and tiebreakers in rounds 12-13. The remaining championship teams played the team of the same rank from the other pool in a round 10 placement game to determine 5th-12th place.

Following round 10, Park Hill and New Heights Christian were 2-0 in the superplayoff pool with wins over Fair Grove and Bayless A, effectively starting a best of three final. After Park Hill won the first game 300-205 to take the advantage in the final, New Heights won the next two games 270-190 and 250-110 to win the tournament. The scheduled round 11 game between Fair Grove and Bayless A was effectively the third place game and small school final, which Bayless won 245-170.
As the only "Traditional Public" school with a MSHSAA enrollment of 250 or fewer students to advance to the championship tier, Clark County was the very small school champion.
As the only eligible team to advance to the top four superplayoffs, New Heights Christian was the small school open division champion for the second consecutive year.
Aidyn Owings from Fair Grove was the top individual scorer, with 98.80 points per twenty tossups heard in the preliminary rounds and 92.06 PP20TUH overall.
Notes
After co-directing the tournament annually starting in 2010, Jeffrey Hill had to withdraw from this year's event to recover from a skiing injury earlier in the month, making this the first NAQT Missouri Qualifier he did not staff in its eighteen year history.
