Sinan captained the Woburn team to win both the provincial and national championship in Reach for the Top in 2006. That same year, he brought Woburn to the inaugural Ottawa Quizbowl Tournament, where they got second to a Lisgar B led by James Cooper.

Sinan joined the Toronto team and was the lead scorer on the team that placed 5th at the 2010 ICT DI. This is (as of 2021) the highest that any Canadian team has ever placed at ICT.

After leaving Toronto in 2010, Sinan was a founding member of the team at Alberta, eventually bringing them to ACF Nationals every year between 2013 and 2015. Alongside Trevor Davis, Sinan placed 11th, 12th, and 13th at the ACF Nationals 2013, 2014, and 2015 respectively.
