The 2014 NSC took place on May 24-25 at the Hyatt Regency in Reston, Virginia (near Washington, D.C.), with 96 teams participating. LASA A defeated Western Albemarle in a one-game final. St. John's came in third and Ladue came in fourth.
In the All-Star Game, The Beasts from the Far East (Eric Xu of Western Albemarle, Carlo De Guzman of St. John's, Ben Zhang of Ladue, Kai Smith of Farragut) defeated The Best in the West (Sam Blizzard of Northmont, Nathan Weiser of LASA A, Sean McBride of High Tech A, Adam Fine of UChicago Lab).
